Minimum Requirements
Language Proficiency
(International applicants)
You must demonstrate a minimum language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 in English or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) Level 5 in French. This ensures effective communication with clients and the ability to navigate various aspects of caregiving in Canada.
Educational Qualifications
​Caregivers must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education in Canada. Alternatively, if the education was obtained overseas, an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report is required. This report verifies that your foreign education is equivalent to Canadian standards, ensuring that all caregivers meet a consistent level of educational quality.
Age Requirement
All caregivers must be over 18 years of age. This ensures that all caregivers are legally able to work and have the maturity and responsibility needed for the role.
Experience in Caregiving
Prior experience in caregiving, either professional or personal, is preferred. This experience helps ensure that caregivers are familiar with the nuances and demands of the role.
Background Check
A clean criminal record check is required to ensure the safety and security of our clients. Caregivers must not have any history of criminal behavior that could pose a risk to clients.
